I love Halloween. For me, Halloween was always about the magic of Fall , brightly colored Autumn leaves, the dying corn, big golden harvest moons , the taste of apple cider, the scent of cinnamon, black cats, pumpkins and mysterious witches flying through the night. It has always been my one of my favorite holidays and the art that you see is my vision of Halloween. Recently Ive begun a series of' Day of the Dead' inspired pieces that Ive added to this gallery. I have been deeply moved by the Dia de los Muertos art, especially by the playful loving way in which death and our dearly departed are portrayed, and by the comfort , familiarity and acceptance that these images bring . Drawing from my own experiences Ive created paintings which are intended to heal ,inspire and offer an insightful glimpse into the spirit world.
